As much as you think it's a scare tactic they actually filed a law suit against my company and I had my lawyers get them to withdrawl it.  I ended up settling 25% on the dollar of the products I sold.  Now I have to go through the Ford Merchandising License Program and get raped by their greedy hands.  I have copies of C&D where they have sent them to licensed Ford Parts Dealers as well as HPA sending the C&D letters to Franchised Ford Dealers because they are using the "Ford" in their web addy.  Which is a joke since the dealer signed the agreement Ford sent them in 2003 authorizing and recommending they use Ford in their URL.  Example: www.PrestigeFord.com.  BTW...you will deal with their Parelegals first.  They pass themselves off as real lawyers which they are not.  At best 2nd year law students.

I got a letter from them for Ford products. I paid them $112 and that was it.
I was infridging on their rights.

You should consult with an attorney. But I do know that this law firm where Jered Cherry works just tries to use scare tactics to get people to fold and pay the fee. It's how they make their money. Why don't you go to the www.eff.org website to seek out an attorney that will consult with you at reduced fees or even for free and go to www.chillingeffects.org to post your cease and desist letter and get more information. You can post your cease and desist letter here too as a new topic in the cease & desist letters category.
